I don’t really know where to start with this.
Sitting up one night completely exhausted, body aching; I realized I was sitting there by myself.
Who else is up?
Leaning on their heating pad.
Tending a sick or injured animal.
Taking in just one moment of quiet relaxation in betwen critical care feedings.
So tired they can’t sleep.
Reflecting on the day, week and month past; I wondered if anyone outside of rescue work even realizes what it is we do and endure on a daily basis.
I wanted to let my fellow rescue parents know that you are not alone!
